Skin cancer does not always show up as a dark colored mole – sometimes it can just be a flaky, dry patch of skin that doesn’t seem to go away on it’s own. To protect yourself from skin cancer, it’s incredibly important to wear sunscreen daily, even when you are only exposed to sunlight for a brief period of time. Schedule a routine skin exam with your dermatologist, and if you notice anything out of the ordinary – schedule an apointment as soon as possible!
